THE SKILL GAP
AgencyKPI sits on a massive dataset of 100+ carriers, but their end-users—non-technical agency owners—couldn't access it. Valuable insights were locked behind a requirement for SQL skills. Clients had to wait for static reports or submit requests just to answer basic questions. The data was there, but the access was gated by technical complexity.
THE ARCHITECTURE
We built AKPI AI Chat, an embedded AI engine that acts as an 'On-Demand Data Analyst' for every user.
- Text-to-SQL AI: We integrated Databricks Genie to translate natural language questions ('Show me premiums by region') into executable SQL. This allows non-technical users to 'speak' to their database directly without learning code.
- Hybrid RAG Pipeline: Beyond numbers, we used pgvector to index thousands of PDF policy documents. The AI allows users to instantly search compliance logic and documentation in the same chat interface.
DEMOCRATIZED INTELLIGENCE
We didn't just speed up queries; we removed the gatekeeper. Clients now have instant, self-service access to their own data. The AI handles the technical heavy lifting, allowing business owners to explore trends, audit compliance, and make decisions in real-time without waiting on a human analyst.
