60% FASTER CLOSE

UNIFYING GLOBAL FINANCE ON MICROSOFT FABRIC.

Consolidating 4 international ledgers into a single source of truth in just 8 weeks.

LEDGER FRAGMENTATION

Legend operated as a federation of disconnected entities. With distinct general ledgers across multiple continents, the 'Data Entropy' was structural. The CFO had to wait weeks for manual Excel aggregation just to answer a simple question: 'What is our global cash position?'

02 / THE ARCHITECTURE

THE ARCHITECTURE

We deployed Microsoft Fabric to act as the connective tissue between legal entities without a costly ERP migration.

  1. Zero-Copy Virtualization: Utilizing Fabric's OneLake, we virtually unified data from disparate sources without physically moving it. This eliminated the typical ETL latency that plagues financial data projects.
  2. Global Semantic Model: We engineered a master composite model that automatically maps local Charts of Accounts to a Global Standard. This handles currency conversion and inter-company eliminations dynamically.

FINANCIAL VELOCITY

We reduced the month-end close cycle by 60%. Financial reporting is now agnostic to geography; the CFO can toggle between 'Entity-Level' and 'Global Consolidated' views in real-time. We moved the organization from 'looking at last month's numbers' to 'seeing today's reality.'

"We finally have a single version of the truth—and we get it days faster."
