FRAGMENTATION RISK
Following the acquisition of PulseVet, Zomedica faced a critical 'Data Indigestion' problem. The acquired entity operated on a legacy stack (Salesforce & NetSuite) completely disconnected from corporate HQ. Relying on an 'Excel Bridge' to merge financials created unacceptable latency and compliance risk for a publicly traded organization.
THE ARCHITECTURE
We engineered a Zero-Touch Integration Layer to virtually unify the companies without a painful ERP migration.
- Phase 0: The Discovery: Before writing code, we conducted a 10-day Diagnostic Sprint to map the disconnect between the two ledgers. This revealed that the friction wasn't in the data volume, but in the taxonomy.
- API Extraction Agents: We deployed automated pipelines to hit the PulseVet endpoints every 60 minutes, pulling raw transaction data into a secure landing zone.
- Normalization Engine: We built a custom transformation layer to map 'Wild West' legacy SKUs to the Zomedica Master Taxonomy automatically.
ACQUISITION SUCCESS
We eliminated the 'Excel Bridge' entirely. Zomedica now operates with T+0 Visibility. Financial consolidation happens in the pipeline, not on a spreadsheet, delivering Audit Confidence (SOX Compliance) and instant clarity on the acquisition's performance.
"We went from manual chaos to a fully automated close."
